Vintage Bathtub with Found Stone Feet + Russel Wright’s Credenza – Improvised Life

In a recent New York Times T Magazine, we loved the a former Tuscan convent restored by designer Holly Lueders and her daughter, the photographer Venetia Sacret Young, largely by their own hands. There are MANY doable details and solutions we thought to steal down the line. One of our favorites: a vintage bathtub with a base of rough stones.

It called to mind the boulders Russel Wright used to prop up a red-painted moderne sideboard at his home, Manitoga, that we posted from Artists’ Handmade Houses a while back.

Since many vintage tubs have lost their feet, OR their feet can be removed, they invite re-envisioning of their stands and platforms.
